I am writing, in halts and starts a book of essays that draws some threads together including postgenderism, hacking, self help and celebrity worship, governance systems, collectively maintained infrastructure, organised religion, love, and balance in technology. Philosophy of language speculations provide one unifying theme if one is overtly needed.
This blog started as a random thought-dump that might also wind up as supporting material for the book, but is more likely to be the silly and weird stuff that doesn’t really belong in a book. It also provides an opportunity for me to get carried away with my own sense of rhetorical facility; in the essays i am trying to stay terse, short-worded, repetitive in a vaguely poetic kind of way.
Aspiration for this is pitched at something like “Bacon’s Essays meet Hobbes’ Leviathan meets Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”, and it would just be amazing to get anywhere near.
